Chinese New Year Batam Trip 7-9 Feb 2016

This is my first time spenting my Chinese New Year overseas, as i do not want to apply for additonal leave therefore decided to go for a 3 days 2 night to Batam.

I always like to stay at Swiss-belhotel Harbourbay because it is just 5 minutes from the Harbourbay Ferry Terminal, it is a 4 stars hotel which is 3-4 years old. I managed to get Deluxe room for S$100 per night including buffet breakfast

Due to some mistake make by the hotel, one of the room was upgraded to Grand Deluxe

After check-in, we went for a massage at the 2nd level of Harbourbay Mall which is in the same building, the price is really cheap and service is good. On peak period making reservation is needed as they are always full booked. I had a 1-1/2 hours foot massage and it cost around S$12. Ginger tea and dessert was served after the massage, their ginger tea is the best, too bad they don't sell.

After massage, my plan was to have seafoods for reunion dinner but plan was changed because hotel had offer free buffet dinner due to their mistake on my room booking, the hotel offer buffet dinner at very affordable price around S$15 per paxs, foods choices not less but foods standard was so so only

After dinner it was time to rest, I went back to my Deluxe Room which is smaller than the Grand Deluxe Room by half and it don't have bathtub but the bed is super comfortable

After shower and it is another hour to the year of monkey, the hotel have Channel 8 so i am able to do countdown with Singapore. One hour later when i was able to sleep i heard alot of fireworks sound, see thur the window saw other hotel have fireworks for celebration of Chinese New Year. Swiss-bel hotel also have fireworks but i was lazy to change and go down to watch. Below is a video of the fireworks thur my room window.

Day 2, I wake up early to have my breakfast which was included in the room rate, due to Chinese New Year holiday the hotel was fully booked therefore there were already alot of guests having their breakfast when i go down at 8am, their were many choice of foods but refill was very slow, especially the egg station was always long queue

After breakfast i went to Salon Christopher which is located at Nagoya Hill Mall for Hair Spa, i love their head and shoulder massage and their wonderful price which is only S$22 it take about one hour. But do ask about the price first because blowing of hair is not included and will charge seperately however still cheaper than in Singapore.

Day 2 dinner was at Wey Wey Seafood which is located near to the ferry terminal and Swiss-bel hotel. Waiting time was long because it was almost fully when i reach there but still worth waiting for the nice and cheap seafoods, total spending for this dinner was S$105

Day 3, wake up early to have my breakfast. The hotel do change the main dish so at least i wouldn't be eating the samething

After breakfast, i went to the supermarket at the basement of Harbourbay Mall to do some shopping. Then back to the room to pack my luggage as I will have to check-out at 12noon. After check-out left my luggage with the hotel I go for another foot massage before going back to Singapore. Settle my lunch at Coffee Town which is located at the Harbourbay Ferry Terminal.

After the lunch it is time for boarding, this is the end of my 3 days 2 nights Chinese New Year holiday....
